Trivium

Trivium is an American heavy metal band formed in 2000 in Orlando, Florida. Known for their blend of metalcore, thrash, and melodic death metal influences, the band was formed by guitarist and vocalist Matt Heafy, bassist Paolo Gregoletto, drummer Alex Bent, and guitarist Corey Beaulieu. Trivium gained attention with their debut album Ember to Inferno (2003), but it was their follow-up album Ascendancy (2005) that catapulted them into the mainstream, featuring songs like “Like Light to the Flies” and “Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr.” Their music is known for its intricate guitar work, aggressive drumming, and Heafy’s versatile vocal range, which fluctuates between clean singing and harsh screams. Trivium’s ability to evolve with each album while maintaining their aggressive and technical style has earned them a dedicated fanbase. Over the years, they've earned critical praise and multiple Grammy nominations, with albums like Shogun (2008), In Waves (2011), and The Sin and the Sentence (2017) solidifying their reputation as one of the leading bands in modern metal.
