Dead Kennedys

Dead Kennedys is an American punk rock band formed in San Francisco in 1978. Known for their fast, aggressive sound and politically charged lyrics, they became one of the most influential punk bands of the era. Fronted by Jello Biafra, their early albums, including Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables (1980) and Plastic Surgery Disasters (1982), combined hardcore punk with sharp satire, tackling social and political issues. Despite disbanding in 1986, the band reunited in the 2000s without Biafra, continuing to tour with different vocalists. Their legacy endures as one of punk’s most radical and outspoken voices.
