Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath is a British heavy metal band formed in Birmingham in 1968 by Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. Often credited as pioneers of heavy metal, their dark, heavy sound and occult-inspired lyrics set them apart from other rock bands of the time. Their early albums, including Paranoid (1970) and Master of Reality (1971), helped define the genre with iconic tracks like "Iron Man" and "War Pigs." Despite numerous lineup changes and Osbourne's departure in the late '70s, Black Sabbath remained a dominant force in metal. The original lineup reunited multiple times before the band's farewell tour in 2017, leaving behind a legendary influence on heavy music.
